My friend, now I realize is super homophobic, but the issue was we are childhood friends, I’ve always known him. Now from the title you know I’m about to get clowned. I put myself out there, not to be a joke, but because my passion is making content. As you know, you can get famous overnight, but for me it’s more like a long haul story. I make content, I would say every month, but people clown me so hard. I am not sure how I should even handle this situation, there is this girl, let’s call her Emma, cause I don’t want to bully her (lol) by saying her name, but every day she makes so many horrible jokes, where everyone laughs, but it actually hurts. Like sometimes she says “Wow Olivia are you a volcano cause you’re face is erupting with pimples haha!” So then yk, I got self-conscious about my pimples, and started wearing a little makeup and concealer. It all started when me and my friend, let’s call her Emily, started martial arts. I was a dancer, so the kicks and moves came easier, so I just so happened to move up belts a little faster than her (like probably a few days max,) but she hated this. I get bullied cause I eat too much. It’s kinda an issue I have, I think I have a binge ED, but it’s a coping mechanism for me. Some of the jokes are funny, like “parenthesis the ants trying to find crumbs” (like a joke about me eating so much ants can’t even find the crumbs.) But then they got worse, and worse and now it’s hurtful. People call me “muffin top,” or “fattie,” or even “bouncy ball,” to even like “you wish you got the other ED then you’d be skinny.” I don’t like over eating it just happens, and with all these rude comments, i’m starting to become very image-councious to the point where I skip meals, then binge it back, or don’t really wear anything apart baggy clothes. My friend and I walk home every day from school. And for some reason some kid starts following us and is just a complete menace. He was kinda known to be the school bully, yk big-tough, walking around the halls like a gorilla to assert his dominance. When I was in High School, I had this anonymous caller who would cyberbully me (well, this was before the internet so phone-bullying, I am not sure what the correct terminology is.) Anyways, here is an example, at around 9 at night when I was 15, the home phone rang and I was expecting it was my friends calling to talk, but it was a guy calling, he said he was the police and that my brother died. My heart dropped, I ran to my brother's bedroom and thank god saw him there in his bed. How could someone be so cruel and say someone from my family was dead? When I was bullied, it was in elementary school and middle school. As a guy, I get guys are very jokey, but bro, some of those jokes hurt, and some of them still affect me now. Looking back, it was actually my friends who bullied me, about my bright blonde floppy hair, or like how skinny I was telling me to “bulk up string bean,” or “bro ain’t pulling anyone with that face,” or “why do you look like that?” these jokes started harmless, but with the the sheer quantity it started to affect how I think of myself. I would start to look at myself more in the mirror, and see myself as ugly and skinny. They joke less now, and with time, I get less affected when the jokes become more hurtful comments.
